Our Mission
To advance Indigenous workforce development through collaboration, storytelling, and culturally grounded resources.
MIWI is a community-led effort to strengthen Indigenous workforce and entrepreneurial opportunities across Minnesota. We bring together leaders, organizations, and partners to share resources, stories, and pathways that uplift Indigenous voices.
These principles guide our work and strengthen our community connections.

Creating pathways for Indigenous workforce development.
Launched in 2025, MIWI grew from conversations among Indigenous leaders, workforce developers, and educators who wanted a shared hub to connect opportunities with community. These initial gatherings revealed a common vision: creating pathways that honor cultural values while building economic strength.
Today, MIWI continues to expand partnerships statewide, bridging traditional knowledge with modern workforce development. Our collaborative approach ensures that Indigenous voices remain at the center of every initiative, creating sustainable change that benefits entire communities across Minnesota.
